Everise is a virtual product film. In our vision of 2099, 90% of the island lies beneath the ocean. Singapore survives, not by expanding outward, but by reaching upward. A hyper-dense vertical metropolis emerges: five monumental towers representing the five regions, linked by sweeping skybridges, and home to millions. Here, food grows among the clouds, energy flows from fusion, and water is endlessly recycled.
Concept
As climate change accelerates, rising sea levels have drastically reshaped Singapore’s geography, leaving only its highest elevations above water. By 2099, unexpected accelerating ice sheet melt from Greenland and Antarctica caused a knock-on effect that drove sea levels in Singapore up by 4 to 5 meters, far surpassing earlier projections. Underestimated factors such as underwater melting and ice cliff collapse have led to rapid ice loss, triggering irreversible changes. Large portions are submerged, and Singapore is forced to adopt drastic climate adaptation measures. Rising sea levels have reshaped Singapore into a vertical living environment. Due to extreme land scarcity, only the highest elevations remain above water, while the rest of the city is submerged beneath an endless ocean.
Technicals
This project allowed me to integrate architectural design methods into the creation of a speculative vertical city. Using Unreal Engine, I developed detailed visualizations that translated the design into a compelling digital environment. Filmed at the virtual production studio in Aux Media, the project transforms the concept into an immersive reality.
