Project Overview
Sky Pixel is a personal archive of sky photographs I captured across different times and locations around the world. What began as a casual observance of the ever-changing sky has evolved into a contemplative digital project that merges art, technology, and data. Developed using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, the website is both aesthetic and interactive, designed to immerse viewers in the subtle transitions of the sky’s colour palette.

Methodology
Each photograph in Sky Pixel captures a singular moment, a fleeting configuration of light, color, and atmosphere that will never recur in exactly the same way. The project transforms these ephemeral moments into a visual chronicle, revealing the sky’s infinite expressions through minimal, square-form color fragments. Rather than serving merely as documentation, these sky fragments represent an ongoing dialogue between observation and reflection, finding the extraordinary within the ordinary.
What distinguishes Sky Pixel is its methodical documentation. Each photograph functions not only as an image but also as a data point, carrying specific metadata such as:
  • A unique color code extracted from the image
  • The exact time of capture
  • The date
  • The geographic location
This transforms the archive into a chromatic record of atmospheric conditions, where each color square becomes a pixel in a global mosaic of moments.The Experience & Interaction
The website employs interactive scrolling animations and responsive grid layouts, allowing visitors to experience an endless cascade of colors drifting upward, much like time passing in the sky itself. Subtle transitions, clean typography, and generous white space create a tranquil and meditative visual rhythm. Built with attention to aesthetic harmony and user experience, Sky Pixel invites visitors to engage not through overt interaction, but through observation and reflection, mirroring the act of sky-gazing itself.
