The NTU Omnibus app is a vital tool for NTU students navigating campus transportation, yet its existing interface faced challenges such as laggy performance, unintuitive navigation, and limited responsiveness. This project aimed to redesign the app with a user-centered approach, focusing on improving its usability, clarity, and efficiency. Through surveys, interviews, and participatory design methods, we gathered insights into user pain points and preferences. The result is a streamlined interface with essential features on the home page, enhanced interactivity, and intuitive design elements, ensuring a seamless experience for students managing their busy schedules.
Interface Design Overview
The redesigned NTU Omnibus app offers a fresh, user-friendly interface tailored to meet the transportation needs of NTU students. With a clean and simplified layout, essential features are now centralized on the home page, allowing users to access key information at a glance.
The indoor map and bus service details have been merged for convenience, featuring intuitive gestures like pinch-to-zoom and one-finger navigation.
These improvements are designed to enhance usability, reduce time spent searching for information, and provide a more personalized, responsive experience, making campus commuting easier and more efficient than ever before.
